Rob needs help to fund carpets for his home which is freezing due to the lack of insulation. He faces issues with his mental health and confidence and this change to his environment will help remain comfortable and motivated.

“During lockdown, I am staying in the house and this is affecting me as I see the cold empty floors everyday. I have been looking after my mother for seven years and she is now in a home, so I have had to have support to find new housing, which has been amazing through the support of Aspire. I have been getting used to living alone and keeping myself busy. This is hard when my mental health has been affected and I have been a full time carer for so long. I am working towards getting back into employment and building my confidence.

I love sports, so I watch a lot of TV and I enjoy going on walks. I want to be able to sit in a cosy flat while I enjoy sports.I would like to finish my flat now that I have time to relax as I am no longer a carer.”

Rob is very selfless and has spent a long time caring for his family, it would be great for him to get a carpet for his flat as it is currently uncarpeted which is not nice for Rob to see everyday.”
