Samuel was evicted from his property under a Section 21 notice and approached his local council for support. However, due to high demand and long wait times, he had no option but to sofa surf with friends and eventually begin sleeping rough. During this time without stable accommodation, his part-time job was put at risk and his mental health suffered.

Eventually, he was referred to a charity partner who helped him into short-term accommodation whilst he waited for a flat in the private rental sector. Once a flat was secured, Samuel needed support affording first month’s rent in advance.

With Greater Change’s support, Samuel can move into safe and stable accommodation, continue working and move out of homelessness for good.
