Jalen’s house had a severe leak, which caused significant mold damage and badly affected Jalen’s belongings. He was able to get his flooring replaced; however, Jalen lost much of his furniture, household appliances, and personal items like clothing and shoes that held sentimental value. Jalen cannot currently afford to replace everything that he lost, and is struggling to restore his home to its original state before the devastating leak.

​Jalen and his Support Worker applied for £1,000 to cover the cost of some new furniture and clothing. This support would help make Jalen’s home functional again and restore a sense of normality, thus relieving some of the financial and mental strain Jalen has incurred since the leak.
