Bradley

Bradley

Bradley’s journey of homelessness has had a detrimental impact on his mental health. His wellbeing has suffered after years of living in unstable accommodation. Fortunately, Bradley has successfully secured permanent social housing; however, the property is unfurnished and he does have any white goods.

“At the moment I am living in accommodation that doesn’t have the daily essentials I need. Each day that passes it becomes more damaging to my mental, physical and emotional wellbeing. I spent 8 months sleeping on the street in 2015. I managed to get into a hostel and I was living there for 6 years.I have had a long-term struggle with my mental health that has been exacerbated by my time on the street and time and experience in the unsecure accommodation of the hostel.”

Bradley needs our support to raise £900 for his flooring and £350 for a Fridge Freeze. He sourced a cooker and curtains from his local authority; however, they will not provide Bradley with any financial support to purchase essential white goods and flooring to make the space a home. Bradley has strived through very difficult times and has persevered to get to a place where he can prosper. He has determination but he is not in a place where he can be fully self-sufficient.

Bradley’s Support Worker:Bradley is friendly, determined and intelligent. He wants the best for others and wants to be in a position where he can contribute positively to society.”

The impact of your support would be phenomenal. Donating to Bradley’s cause would empower him to move forward from a traumatic past and finally have a place to call a home. Feeling safe and secure in his home would give him space to focus on getting on to a training course and seek employment opportunities.

“It was really difficult for me to reach out for this help because I do not want to be reliant on the system. As a proud person it took a lot to realise that I wouldn’t be able to fund this myself. Thank you in advance and please understand that it’s for a good cause.”
