David
David has been homeless for the last 30 years, living on and off the streets of Oxford. His relationships broke down which left him feeling hopeless. With the support of our partner charity, he’s worked to regain his life skills and build his confidence to engage back into the community.
David’s support worker: “All David wants is for his relationship with his partner, who is pregnant with his baby, to work. He has worked really hard and I believe he will do well in the future – he just needs a chance.”
A flat has been offered to David, but he lacks the funds needed to secure the tenancy. David has started a job with the local health authority and now needs the support to move on to a home of his own.
With our support, we can help David take that next step and have his independence, giving him the space he needs to grow.
David’s support worker: “David is determined to grow after all he’s been through. The impact of this funding would allow David to settle into his new accommodation allowing him to look to the future as he has a lot of ambition.”
David’s Next Steps
1. Raise money for rent deposit to move into new home
2. Continue working which will support him in the future
3. Work with Support Worker
4. Look towards the future – keep growing
