Elvis’s Rent
“Elvis has rough slept through some of the harshest winters. He is a very gentle, kind, humble man, who asks for absolutely nothing.” – Clare, Elvis’s support worker at Crawley Open House
Without a roof over your head or the stability of a place to stay it is almost impossible to get a job. Elvis knows this all too well after attempting to secure work whilst rough sleeping for over 2 years.
“I really need some help in getting on my feet, and finding a home, and a job so I can provide for myself. I just want a happy everyday life, like others.” – Elvis
Elvis is not eligible for benefits so can’t get into housing or a hostel. Greater Change is helping him secure funding for his first 3 months of accommodation, which will give him the stability he needs to find a job.
His support worker added: “Elvis is a hard working and reliable man, I know when he gets a roof over his head he will find employment very quickly.”
