Kara

Kara

Kara was offered a property after years of harassment from her neighbours. Shortly after she moved into her previous property, many incidents occurred.  Over a two year period, Kara experienced ableist and sexist verbal abuse. She was being filmed through her windows.

This put Kara and her teenage daughter at risk and had a severe impact on her mental health and wellbeing. She suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD/EUPD),depression & anxiety, Asthma,  impairment of short term memory, severe dyslexia, and hearing impairment(can cause voice raising). She also describes increasing joint pain, and scoliosis.

Kara asked to be transferred to a different property and luckily her request was successful; however, her disability allowance isn’t a substantial income to furnish and decorate her new property. Kara needs support from Greater Change to provide her with the funds to furnish and decorate her property. She will also need support with removal costs.

Kara’s Support Worker: “Your support can help Kara to move in to the new property and get out of the current situation with the neighbour which will help her mental health significantly.”
