Mohammad

Mohammad

Mohammad previously lived and worked in Afghanistan as a delivery driver and subsequently as an interpreter with the British Army in 2011. He later relocated to the UK under the ARAP scheme. Currently living on the outskirts of a city with his family, Mohammad feels isolated and is eager to get his UK drivers licence and connect with his community.

He is hoping to utilise his skills and previous experience as a delivery driver by applying to similar jobs in the UK; however, he first must attend 35 hours of driving lessons and pass the practical exam. Mohammad needs our support to raise money for the expenses of a driving instructor and exam fees, before he can help his family get settled in their new home.

“Having the driving licence will allow me to drive to search for work opportunities or to provide my family with their needs and attend the appointments with work agents.”

Mohammad’s Next Steps:

Arrange driving lessons with an instructor

Apply for driving practical exam

Update CV and apply for jobs
